Charity Seminar – Experience, Insight & Advice
Navigating Uncharted Waters: featuring guest speaker, Sally Magnusson
Tuesday 8 November 6.30pm to 8pm
Deep Sea World, North Queensferry
Thomson Cooper are delighted to announce that Sally Magnusson, founder and Chair of Playlist for Life, is the guest speaker at their Charity Seminar being held on Tuesday 8 November at Deep Sea World in North Queensferry, part of Trustees’ Week 2016.
Sally will speak about what led her to create Playlist for Life, which is spearheading the development and use of music to help alleviate dementia symptoms.
The impetus for creating the charity came from Sally’s very personal experience of caring for her mother and the insight this gave her into dementia.
Sally will talk about her experience of creating a charity; the challenges and highlights, and the advice and help she has encountered on the way.
This will be followed by an update on changes to reporting and legislation for charities by charity specialist Fiona Haro.
The seminar will wind up with a Q & A session with a panel of experts, including Thomson Cooper partners Fiona Haro and Andrew Croxford.
A buffet and drinks will be provided. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times, including during the presentations (the aquarium will remain open during the presentations.) Guests will have exclusive access to the aquarium’s facilities.
This event is free of charge but spaces are limited. You must include any children on your booking form and provide their full name. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.
